Haha!!

Yep, his data must come from EFC!! Their entire business is built on that amazing clinical study that Hird and Evans organised and definitely not from any of the years they've been in business prior to that. Diabolical! Is this Echols truth bomb i just didn't see and am so ignorant about?! Oh noes

Never let it be said that the HTB is single-minded :D
How can it be single minded if you're here? This is not the bomberblitz club

I wonder if Mr Hird, at the request of the organisers, will attend to display his 'realia' to attendees, in the form of his enlarged and tinged pork sword? I also wonder if the those other side effects of the peptide / thymus treatments will be discussed, that is, the effect of causing organisational amnesia, misplacement of records, ultra sensitive defensiveness, and of course and obviously, a drastic lowering of IQ?

There's a decent Essendon/ASADA thread on Saintsational.

I just saw a post on there that I thought was worthy of discussion on here. Here's an excerpt:

This coming ANZAC Day, at the Marriott Ritz Carlton (abounding ironies galore), in Grand Lakes, Orlando Florida, one Dr. Robin Willcourt will be presenting to a gathering of ageing specialists on the following topic:

"Peptides: An Emerging Revolutionary Therapeutic Approach"

Doc Robin is presenting as:

"Medical Director, EpigenX Integrated Medicine
Private Practice, Anti-Aging Medicine, Weight Loss, Sports Nutrition and Hormone Replacement Therapies, Melbourne, Australia"

Here's a preview of what he will cover in his presentation:

"Lecture Description:
A group of chemicals, based on naturally occurring peptide messengers and hormones involved in normal human physiological processes is emerging. The effects of peptides vary from treating sexual dysfunction to inducing a ‘suntan.’ Others affect the immune system enhancing its ability to modify the effects of autoimmune diseases including glomerular diseases and even cartilage regeneration. Perhaps the most extraordinary peptide to emerge is AOD 9604, which has anti-inflammatory properties which lead to an immediate reduction in pain wherever it is injected or applied topically. In early clinical studies it has been found to heal and relieve burn pain with more efficiency than any other known treatment. Follistatin is the only substance known to induce muscle satellite cells to become new muscle cells, i.e., hyperplasia rather than hypertrophy. Thymosin beta-4 affects immune responses and is integral to formation of growth of normal tissue when damage has occurred rather than the chaotic formation of scar tissue that normally happens. These two peptides affect activin and actin, both of which are involved in tissue repair but which often produce disordered growth in the new tissue. Cjc-1295 and ipamorelin boost the natural production of Growth Hormone (GH). This is an alternative to the expensive r-hGH mostly commonly used for boosting IGF-1 and has the advantage of inducing all five of the hGH isoforms rather just the one that is found in the synthetic form. These peptides operate on the normal feedback loop so that overdosing is limited. GH boosting is being studied as a pre-surgery adjunct to see if healing and recovery times are shortened. Melanotan 2 stimulates melanocyte stimulating hormone. It has potential as an appetite suppressant and from one of its other side effects it has been used to treat decreased libido. From this peptide, Bremelanotide has been developed and is currently in trials for the treatment of Female Sexual Dysfunction. It is effective in treating erectile dysfunction."

LOL this should really be titled "Drugs Essendon Used".

And by law prescriptions cannot be ambiguous, in any way shape or form.

You couldn't for example, put Thymosin on a script - way too vague and could be confused.

Pharmacists must also refuse prescriptions if there is any ambiguity with the nature of the drug or its dosage. One letter left out of the name of the drug, and youre sent back to the Doctor to get another print out of the prescription.

(We are also talking about drugs which aren't even approved for human use in this Country, so there must have been a secret black ops, hospital driven, officially sanctioned clinical trial, with double blind testing and a proper ethical and safety analysis carried out prior to the guinea pig program commencing in earnest)
Do the bombers have their own in house pharmacy and pharmacists. Would be a problem then.

And yes, I agree that Willcourt is a dodgy campaigner!

So we have Dank - banned for life from the NRL for giving players banned drugs. And giving them TB-4. Deals with bikies and is being accused left right centre of forging signatures.
We have Charters who's a genuine crook.
We have Willcourt who deals with bikies and is on the naughty list at the ACCC FFS.
We have Alavi who compounds s**t and hands it over without even knowing what it is.

Yet they never did anything wrong at Essendon!

Even just on face value, without all the mountains of other circumstantial evidence - the suggestion that these guys do dodgy s**t at every single place they've been - yet for some reason when completely unsupervised at Essendon they decided to all go legit??

You can report Willcourt to AHPRA for conduct below the standard expected of a medical practitioner. In that he is promoting the use of peptides/ thymosin without scientific evidence.

You guys are getting confused about how much Willcourt had to do with Essendon.

Some of us aren't really about what Willcourt and his connection to Essendon but more his connection to Dank/ the issue of forged signatures etc and whether or not he should be permitted to continue to operate as a doctor.

Well Papa, that's all speculation isn't it?
Strong links no doubt but we are getting twisted cos he's a gyno and an obst with no sports medicine degree?

There's no reason for a O&G person to be peddling peptides. Unless it was to improve fertility. More the realm of endocrinologists or (at a stretch) general physicians.

What does it matter which doctor did this?
This has insignificant bearing on the EFC case in my opinion.

The OP was aiming to highlight Willcourt as an advocat for Tb4 and AOD. How is this bearing any light on anything? He makes a living out of selling it. This is old old news.

I read it as OP would like someone to get some answers out of Dr Willcourt by talking to him at this conference (we all know what happens at medical conferences, participants get good and liquored up and an unguarded tongue...)

Unless the pharmacist is in on it too.. Hi Mr Alavi.

Can you provide a link stating the tb4 is unfit for human use?

Wasn't he making the point about AOD (as its prominently mentioned in the summary of the talk Dr Willcourt is going to give?)

This actually crossed my mind. But I doubt dogs tackle knew what point he was trying to make.

I am confused ! So Dr Willcourt was a cornerstone of EFC's supplement program. Why wasn't he called as a witness by ASADA?
He was no more a cornerstone than "the gazelle".

Anti-ageing specialist Dr Robin Willcourt, who is working to gain regulatory approval to import TA-65 to Australia, was quizzed by ASADA investigators about that substance and a range of others last week.

He told the Herald Sun he had supplied TA-65 to the Dons' former sports scientist, Stephen Dank, only once and in a quantity consistent with personal use.

Incoherency can be a sign of fatigue, and frustration. Good effort to fix up your incoherency under the circumstances.
Not long now mate, only a couple more days. Use some breathing techniques and relax.

He obviously didn't get a geurnsey at the Tribunal.

"Robin Willcourt is an anti-ageing doctor who specialises in peptides. He worked alongside Stephen Dank for two years until 2013. In 2011, Dank asked him to look at blood reports for Essendon players he'd never treated and advise what supplements might be beneficial." (7.30 Report)

I find this intersting to say the least. The good doc was involved with Dank in the time zone 2011-2013. Coincidence? Yet he has escaped scrutiny by ASADA. I wonder why?
Nevertheless, he would be very knowledgable of the petides Dank was using at Essendon.

Unless the pharmacist is in on it too.. Hi Mr Alavi.

I am not sure if you're aware of this fact Cranky, seeing as you have been very busy celebrating flags, premierships, cups, Mad Mondays, beers, flags, cups, DVD specials, Norm Smith Medals, beer, Grand Final replays, whisky, rum, Dermie back at the club, beer, pizza, Dipper back at the club, beer, GF replays, Norm Smith medals, more cups, Back to back, beer, souvlakia, wine, women, theme song and favourable Umpiring decisions etc....

BUT, officials at MY club have a recording of Alavi spilling his guts as to what he compounded for the Essendon players, who supplied the raw materials to him, how much it costs, when where and why etc

Did you also know that we lost the tape, every single copy, backup, USB, mp4, CD ROM that exists in the Universe as we know it.

Even the Blues are looking after the Bombers.
