If the video footage of Balta's assault had been publicly available in January, the AFL would likely have imposed more than the four week suspension that they did. And if the AFL had known about Rioli's Geelong incident last year, they likely would've evaluated this most recent incident differently also.

I think the issue they have is classing on field verbal shittery & a post game private message 'threat' as a pattern, I think they'll put pressure on us to enforce a little holiday even if it's not worded as a club imposed sanction.
