well i watched the game live on channel 7 today, and i thought we did ok. we won but there is definately room for improvement.

It was great to see neita going down back for awhile.

(although it was only a little bit) Schwarta was aggressive, although he seemed to lose it a bit in the first quarter or so. Dont know what's going on with him. Macca played a great game. he got knocked from pillar to post, but still got up after every knock. Great work Macca

Robbo was great all day (just for Or

) kicked some great goals, and kept at it all day. Wiz was back, bit quiet but i wasnt expecting much from him in his first game back. The shoot out between him and burns didnt eventuate, although in the first quarter it looked promising.

On the down side Whitey hurts his knee

and it didnt look that bad until he came back on and obviously aggrevated it (stupid decision to let him back on. what were they thinking

) dont know how long he's going to be out for, someone said 4 to 6. not looking good. And just when im coming over, i wont be able to see him play. Damn

Good news is that Junior will be back next week, and maybe a couple of others, not quiet sure, but we seem to be getting stronger, and hopefully this is the start of something beautiful.

Anyway u peoples better watch out. ill be in melbourne on thursday, and you wont know what has hit the city when i arrive (and no im not that big) Ill be at the footy, and if u want to me (come on i know u all wanna meet me

) let me know and ill organise a time with u somehow. (short of posting my mobile number which i aint going to do)

everything looked good from the Playstation challange, to the toss of the coin, to the banner and even little leauge... everything was going our way.
Naturally there is room to improve (we can't be perfect all the time

), but i think that the best sign for now is that we played 4 quarters of pretty good footy.
Credit to the so underated Yze... this guy is such a ledgend! he is nothing short of a hero and although he is a quiet player he is one of the best players in the AFL (trust me i know what i'm talking about!

). Good to see woey back in action, and i think that Grgic heard us telling him to do something coz he lifted up his form only to get 2 votes on channel 7!

Robbo, Green and Brucey were again our heros up front (GO ROBBO!!!!!!) and Farmer although lacking in accuracy did ok and he looked fit which is good news!
DAMN IT! i cant believe that Whitey got injured and i have no idea how we are going to get up against the number 1 and 2 teams in the next two weeks without him!

GET WELL WHITEY!
May i just say one more thing... Neita played better in the 10 mins he was up back that he did all day about front! PUT HIM BACK NEALE!

Ok thats it... going to have a sore-throat lollie coz i cant swallow...

There were some good signs today. When the Cats got with in two points I thought that was it but they settled down and had a good win. The start was good but the last bit of that first quarter was pathetic. The two bad patches were that and the first half of the last quarter. Apart from that we were the better team and deserved to win. Bring on the Hawks!! The good sign is we can play a lot better than that.
The only bad note was Neitz. He droppped easy marks and kicked 1 goal 3. He has lost all confidence. The backline is his go.

I was disgusted with a bunch of Melbourne supporters sitting near me.All day they kept bagging 2 of there own players -David Neitz and Brent Grgic.
You really don't need supporters like that.

yeah i had the same. this guy behind me bagging them all day, sure they did some terribl stuff, but usually had enough hunger for the ball that we regained. melbourne were prety desperate right from the begining, and it's amazing the supporters who can't get off there backs, they went in on the second and third attempts, which is something that had been lacking in the four pt games and the ansett cup stuff.

today was very encouraging...

during the final against carlton last year, some supporter was bagging the team all day, offering nothing but critiscisms. to have one look at him you could tell he'd never played the game, at any level just sat in the stands ( which isn't a pre-requisite, but he just offered nothing positive at all) - it turned to him at three quarter time and said ' we'll pinch this'.. kinda glad i was cocky enuff to say it, but i believed it..we just had to stick with carlton for three quarters, you could see thats all we were trying to do all day - just stay with them - oh well these people p*** me off - but it takes all types

I thought that I may as well go along because I thought the game would be close. This is even though I don't support either side. I was right about the game being close. When the cats got to within two points, I thought they may have been able to go on with it but Melbourne got some late goals to win. I was high in the southern stand and their was no abuse from anyone up their. Mind you their would have been no point as the players wouldn't have heard them.

well, i must say, i was happy to see another win for the dees!!!
i think that geelong had hit form (or almost), and for melbourne who haven't yet hit form to come away with a win... WELL DONE THE MIGHT DEES!!!
yes nicki, we saw him up in defence, and i was VERY happy to see him up there!
OH! how amazing was WOEY's 2nd (yes second!!! there were 2 of them!) goal!!!
i thaught it was amazing, and thats NOT from a biost opintion! i also thaught brucey's goal was great too!

well i wasn't happy with Grgic the first quarter to say the least but i dont bag him i just scream out come on Gerg life up your form (ok that might sound like bagging but i never scream out... ohhh go home! and crap like that).
I think that Neita was disappointed with himself and the crowd never let him forget that coz when he missed those goal or crapped those marks the crowd responded coz they want their captain to preform.
I always sit with the opposition (i dont know why but my special spot is always full of the other team's supporters) and therefore i make myself a promise to get on top of them and scream louder and get my team up, kind of like my own cheer squad and the only people i bag is the actual cheer-squad coz they are a pathetic bunch! we've talked about it before but they are so pathetic that last week they forgot to mention Ingo's 100th game on the banner that this week they had 100+1 on it... pft that is so pathetic someone should give them a good belting!!!! grrrrr
