Nothing, keep him!

We wouldnt get anything for him and his has some potential.

Not up for trade. He had shown some improvement this year before breaking his leg.

Also he has been an Essendon fan all his life, so I doubt he would want to leave unless he has a fallout with the club.

Niente....I want my niece to grow up seeing him dash through the centre in 5+ years time. She became a baby Bomber within a day of being born :thumbsu:

We used a very good pick to get him and he started to show something before getting injured.

Would rather keep him than trade him for a 3rd or 4th round pick which would be his value atm.

I reckon if he were put on the table there would be enough demand for him to get a better pick than a 4th rounder.

But the improvement he made this season demands another contract, he's the kind of player we need fit and firing. Hopefully he signs soon.

How long till he's back out on the paddock?

I saw him a week ago and he seemed to look ok. He may be ready to play in the last game or two but I would think that they would save him until preseason training.

I think a lot of supporters over rate Winderlich.
Hes not in the Henneman Bolton catagory but hes just an average footballer imo.
Hes almost 23 has been at the club for 5 years, i think, and although hes shown improvement i'm not so sure he will ever "make it".

I wouldn't be disapointed to see him traded as part of package to get a descent player or picks

I think what a lot of people are doing is rating him on his last couple of games.

In previous years he struggled to get games and significant game time. Once that started happening he started to play with confidence, carry the footy and use it well.

If you assess him on his entire four years at the club you probably get rid of him. But if you judge him on the form he was starting to show before he got injured, with a little more game time (still not enough mind you) and confidence you not only keep him, but he's an important part of our best 22.

I'd give him another year as his speed and ball use could be useful. He is the only guy on our list who can consistantly win the footy at stoppages and use his pace to break packs open. All our fast guys aren't good at winning their own ball consistantly, Licha has the ability to do so. He can give our midfield an extra dimension if he stays injury free and wants it bad enough.

Well, I think he finished a prior season off strongly also. Cant recall exactly which, Im guessing it was the 04 season when the team attempted to get Lloydy another Coleman medal in the final term by kicking everything to him against the dogs. I thought Winders looked quite the player showing bursts of pace and deep penetrating kicks.

Exactly... I was unsure of him until this year, I think he finally showed something. Besides some form in the seniors, the game he played for Bendigo at Windy Hill after he was dropped and dominated and kicked 5 goals impressed me. He won't be a brownlow medal winning superstar, but I think he will be an important player.

Keep, he as been one of the bight spots this year, good pace good kick and for a 21 year old well placed to become an important part of a successful Essendon outfit.

i like him....probably wont ever be elite, but will fit in nicely to the essendon line-up in the future... plays alot like Kayne Pettifer, hopefully can be better than him though

he plays nothing like Pettifer. For one Pettifer is a goal sneak and Winderlich is a winger and not a goalkicking one at that.

I hope you didn't give him another injury while branding him
