D/L'd it yesterday, absolutely brilliant. Looks great on my new screen.

Very fast, smooth as silk, beautiful visuals.

I haven't played a wipEout since PS1, so it was great to see an updated version.

Has in fact tempted me into buying wipEout (the original) from the PSN.

I did one of the Zone races this morning. By the time I got to the Gold Medal (which was Phantom zone from memory), it was so fk'n fast it could barely stay on the track

Agreed, it's very fast.

I am nearly at the final class, nothing has really changed for me.

Zone races are of course faster, but towards the end it's not the pace that kills you....it's the handling.

This game is loaded with trophies.

Those Zone races are insane. Absolutely, completely, nuts. One of the most impressive graphical displays on the current generation as well.

i finally decided to stop being lazy and backup the 40 gigger and install the 500gig samsung hdd and my ps3 is currently restoring all my previous saved data and it's at 43%

dunno if i can be bothered staying up and buying/download/play it this morning but finally i have room and freedom again!

i've played this game a couple times now and after looking at a few of the trophies in this game i'm so glad i'm not a trophy whore!

some of those trophies would be near impossible to unlock!

i mean i'm not great at racers but i'm def not shabby either....but reaching zone 75! in zone mode holy f'n shit!

my best is only like 27 (even though i've only raced in about 3 zone races and am only in second stage (warped) after getting all golds in uplift)

also i can't wait until they release a patch for this game though coz as it stands i can only play it when i'm logged off of psn and i wanna be able to take this thing online! (so i can get creamed...)

also to those with the game...what is your fav vehicle??

personally i am getting my loyalty up for the assegai

I use Assegai and Piranha, which all depends on if it's an actual race or a time trial. Piranha is good in races because it has great speed and shield, Assegai is good in time trials because it has great speed and thrust. Zone races are all the same, so I just go with either of those 2 to bring my loyaly points up.

the piranha felt so unresponsive to me when i tried using it compared to assegai

a massive let down with the assegai is it's lack of sheild

in a race when u get whacked around it massively damages you...not to mention the barrel rolls take off 20 health for that important speed boost

Zone levels are gaming heaven.

The graphics, the speed, the music, the speed, the levels, the colours, the speed.

Zone races are the best feature of the game. I nearly have a heart attack every time I play.

tomorrow i'll put the surround sound up loud as and drink about 10 v's and just re-race the zone races and get the 20 perfect zones then the 50 zones using only air breaks and the 75 zones

that'll probably be worse for you than drugs ffs!

seriously i'm not really a racer fan but this has to be about as good as it gets for racing

The only way you'd get to 75 is if you were on drugs....like the US Air Force.

LOL, I get to about Zone 27 before I crash out

They are the best tracks though, for sure.

Currently using the Pirhana the whole way through, but found it hasn't be great for certain tracks, so I'm going to try out a few more

ok i started playing the game again a few days ago and finally got the campaign legend trophy (which is the only one i really wanted) which i couldn't actually get on the normal difficulty....

for those who don't know it's getting a gold medal for every box in the whole campaign

even on novice i found 2 of the races in the last box ridiculously hard

(and yes i am shit at racers)

but what a feeling BAM! hehe
