Hello friends.

Thought I'd turn to good 'ole bigfooty for some advice seeing as this is the only forum I go to.

I have a DLink DI 524 Wireless Router, which i have connected and configured to my older computer, located right next to the cable internet port at the wall.

I am using a wireless receiver on this new computer, which is working fine, it's just I'm having problems connecting from the router to the older computer via ethernet cable.

I'm not the best with computers, so I asked a mate who told me to do some stuff regarding network connections and such, but to no avail. Obviously, bypassing the router works fine, but trying to connect through it just doesn't want to happen.

Can anyone help?

What exactly are you trying to do? Connect your old PC to your new PC through your router? Or connect to the internet from your old PC via ethernet with the router?
