I was at his first game for East Perth at Perth Oval. IIRC we played the Garlicmunchers and when we arrived there was a large crowd outside the main white gates waiting to get in to see him. (In those days of the WAFL queues were unheard of). Wirra's debut was as eagerly awaited as was Juddas's years later.

i hope the stadium is jammed packed to the rafters and he gets a standing ovation for the entire time he's out there doing a lap of honour...

absolutely goldplated and deserving of a huge send off!!!!
