I aint sure if anyone has noticed, but at afl.com it has stated that Farmer is very close to re-signing to a new TWO year contract with Melbourne.

Now, I think this is great, altho two years is not what Jeff wanted cos he wanted three to become a life member....but, oh well! I could care less!! I am just hopin like hell that he god damn stays with us!!!

i did notice it, cos some cowboy told me about it. LOL ;) Doing more research into this, i have uncovered the following. the only thing they r unsure of is the term, and the fact that there is an "out" clause in his contract. This is because Jeff wants more freedom on the field. Neale has to agree to give him this or the deal doesnt follow through :( The freedom bit being basically allowing Wizza to do whatever he wants on field. it is kinda like a license. He gave one to Wiz this year, as well as Yze, but jeff wants it written into his contract. Apparently Neale isnt too keen on this. so yeah, there is the glich in it all.

Just on my number 2 man Oxy - he wants a 2 year contract, but melbourne ar offering a 1 year deal. He also won $142,000 on the gee gees at Moonee Valley, which might explain his 3 day splurge the other week. LOL (that money wasnt on luck, this man can punt. ill tell ya that much for free.)

so yeah that is just what i have managed to dig up from the gutters.

Yeah, that sounds about right.

I think Jeff will be smart with a clause like that. I cans ee why Neale hates it, but if he gave it to him this year, then it's cool for the contract. He is too important.

I think Jeff has to be mature with it tho, and not take it too seriously. Neale IS the coach, and a good one at that. But Danners, give him what he wants! WE NEED HIM!!

I did read it and it all sounds good to me!
I must say that both Farmer and Schwarta are really important to us and if they want something it should be given to them (with limits of course). I don't think that giving Wiz a license to do whatever he wants is a bad idea, it might give him more confidence... not that he is lacking any!
Anyways I'm also waiting to hear about Chell coz he is also out of contract and it'll be really sad if he goes! :(

And if he has sorta agreed with the club verbally, then I really think we are pretty safe.

As for Chell?? this sounds bad, but if we get a good trade for him, say send him to Saints for Hall, then it would be okay for us. Same for Rigoni and A. Mcdonald, it would not hurt to offload one for a tall, as we have too many midfielders, IMO!!

I also heard Robbo was gonna be traded to Geelong for Bizzell or somethin.........Hmmmm...... ;) :D

LOL nicki!!! any ways, on the AFL site, it says that wizzy is gonna go into the dees on tuesday to get everything soughted (SP?) out... so yeah, thats what i read.

And just how am I going to be taught a lesson?? I only post facts, Robbo needs to go to a team that sux so he can be the main attraction, tis hard at Melbourne with so many other good players, he just has to sit in the shadow of the rest. Poor bloke!!! :D ;)
