Considering we said we'd delist him if we didn't trade him, we played our hand very early. Personally, I'd be happier to delist him and use the roster space to elevate Ben Davies.

It's a shame, really.

Woewodin’s 2004 was better then his Brownlow season in 2000. Had Woewodin never of won the Charlie, he would be considered a decent player and no one would scrutinize him as much. You would think at 29 he will enter either or both drafts.

something may happen on friday, a late trade ya never know.
I've never quite understood why a team won't give up a pick that they'd be willing to use on a player to trade for him.

In the end, it's the same cost to you without having to worry about whether he'll make it there or not.

Kinda like last year with St Kilda taking Cain Ackland in the draft. They knew they were going to draft him, why not ensure they get him by trading the pick they knew they were going to use on him?

Rumour has it if Woewodin gets delisted and not picked up he'll be at Central District next year.

Damn - thought i'd got rid of him!

You are mad if you think 2004 (a consistant yet average season) compared to his 2000 season. But I totally agree with you on the other point, had he not won the brownlow he wouldn't have been so heavily criticised.

Maybe a team is hoping that a player they have their eye on may just slip through to that pick and be too good to miss?

If 2004 was a better year than 2000, why are Collingwood getting rid of him after 1 average year when nearly the whole squad had an average year.

That would be boardering on stupidity. What if 2006 was better than 2004.

According to him he wants to go to another afl club or he'll move back to perth. source? Me. Met him in surfers paradise a few weeks back, before he was 'officially' delisted-traded.

I'm talking statistic wise. After all, that's what matters most to the average supporter, right? Woewodin is given a hard deal and he isn't actually half bad.

Scape goat.
