if shane woewodin is not playing football next year with collingwood i will be even more conviced of how stupid the collingwood football club is.
Over the past 6-8 weeks woey got a kick up the arse and has probably been our most consistant and hard working player.
before we even think of trading or delsiting him, there are a number of others which need to GO!!!!
andrew williams, matt lokan, tex walker, chad morroson, brent hall, bill morroson, richard cole, jason cloke, cameron cloke and shane obree..........Once these bunnys are gone, we may be heading in the right direction.

You do not get rid of experience like woey....

Seconded except i think we should keep jason cloke. I admire jasons work ethic and in the future we will be losing presti and wakes and i think jason has already proved he is a good backman and not on forward

'Woey' working hard: Buckley

Collingwood skipper Nathan Buckley admits more than one player might be playing their last match for the Magpies this weekend, as he refused to be drawn on speculation about the future of teammate Shane Woewodin.

However, Buckley came to the defence of the 2000 Brownlow Medallist, claiming Woewodin's form had been impressive in the weeks since he was recalled to the Collingwood senior team.

Woewodin, 29, will play his 200th AFL match against the Western Bulldogs in the final home-and-away round at Telstra Dome on Friday night.

Buckley said players of Woewodin's experience "don't grow on trees", but admitted nobody's position at Collingwood was secure given the Magpies' disappointing season of just five wins with one round to go.

"There's more than one bloke that might be playing their last game for the club. No-one's position on the field or off the field is guaranteed when you're in the position that we're in at the moment," the Collingwood captain said at the Lexus Centre on Tuesday.

"'Woey' is just one of a number of blokes that has to put their best foot forward and see what happens. But his performances have been pretty good over the last 6-8 weeks since he's been back."

Buckley said every player on the Collingwood list would be assessed by the club's coaching panel to determine whether they can improve the club moving forward.

"That's not a question that 'Woey' needs to answer. It's a question the coaching panel answers for each player individually.

"I think he's shown with his form over the last six weeks that he's actually playing quite well at AFL level in a side that hasn't really been performing that well. He's still able to do his job."

When asked if the players were excited about the prospect of getting two young players with high draft picks if Collingwood is eligible for a priority pick, Buckley said that was not on players' minds at this stage of the season.

He also said turnover at every AFL club was inevitable.

"Obviously that's something that exists around draft time and trade time. That's not a period a player really enjoys given that you lose a lot of your mates around the club.

"So there will be guys that won't be here next year, and there will new fellas that will come into the club. Where we get them from and how we get them is irrelevant - what character they have and what they're prepared to give to the club is, insofar as work ethic and endeavour, to make themselves the best they can be … that's what I'm concerned with."

Best of luck to Woey on his 200th...IMO he will definelty be back next year :)

Keep Jason Cloke. The rest we should get rid of.

the only reason woey should be kept is because we have nothing better, he should only be a depth player or a 2nd option outside receiver anything more and our club is in trouble!

I reckon we have to keep Woey, Obree, J Cloke, Walker as they have mature bodies.

I was not a fan of Holland until this year but he has stepped up and had a go.

The problem with Woey is that we have similar players, Davis, Lonie, Caracella not hard enough at the ball. I would have put Ryce in until this year.

They can all use it but they need to get more of it.

Probably why we are all happy with Davies cant use it but can get it.

na lets get rid of jason cloke on the basis off his stupid hair, i just cant see why you would cut your hair like that. Him and pieterson need a good hair cut
