Saw them at adelaide uni today, awesome. Awesome.

I was amazed that people liked this band in the first place. But it's now April '07, and people _still_ haven't realised they suck?! Incredible.

However I still dont listen to the album much anymore and when I saw them lately they played the exact same thing as last time I saw them (1 year before) except they added Love Train and Led Zep's Communication Breakdown which they covered pretty damn well, it was the highlight on a boring night.

So Gets!, are they playing many new songs yet? I hope so.

Didn't notice a punch up before Wolfmother, but there was a massive one during it. Just before the encore the dirty slapper (white shirt), and her boyfriend (one crazy mofo) went off after they were bottled and canned constantly for 5-10 minutes. Turned around started chargin people. Boyfriend had some guy's throat and probably forced him through about 20 metres of the crowd. I'm really surprised they lasted that long considering she was doing it throughout. Slapper.

Wolfmother were quality though. Second song from the encore (the new new one) was awesome.

I used to like White Unicorn but after hearing more of their work you realise what an ordinary unit they are. Just listen to Zeppelin.

Obviously Love Train is newish (it's only on the Euro releases AFAIK), but the new new song, had no idea what it was, but was good (Pleased to Meet You be the name)..

Im not a huge fan but made the appearance. Im not 100% convinced, they have a couple of decent tunes. I just think if your going to be headline act maybe you need more than 50 odd minutes of material. Playing this and adding a few interludes does not work.

Decent crowd there and certainly a good night for it.

I mean that album must have been out almost 20 months by now and 4 of the songs are over 3 years old.

Love Train is barely newish, just didnt make the cut on the Oz release but the US record company liked it.

I just thought they'd be playing a few more new songs by now and am a bit disappointed and making it seem like they have nothing more to offer after this debut album. That's all.

Surely a band who carry the sound of Zep are better to have on the charts than bloody Hinder or Creed or whatever those pesky kids listen to these days. With the endless comparisons, it might even inspire younger people to discover the joy that was/is Led Zepellin.

I think the Chaser summed it up well the other night when they had Wolfmother accidentally start playing Black Dog. If I want to listen to Zep I'll put on a song from my extensive Zep collection. I don't really care what the WM guys are trying to sound like, they make up a pretty average band in my eyes.

They may 'carry the sound' but they can't write a decent song to save themselves.

But they don't carry the sound. It's the watered-down power-chord-based repetitive version without the musicanship and songwriting talent. The Zep comparisons are a massive insult.
