I believe that expecting a guy to say "I love you" shows insecurity.

I think if a guy feels it, then he should say it, but certainly not all the time! I mean let's be realistic, basic emotions are not easily expressed by many males, and if he spends all his time showing how he feels then yep that's good enough.

It's nice to hear it from time to time, but isn't necessary on a daily basis.

When I was 18 I was stupid & said I love you to my first gf. Within three months of a five month relationship I was out the picture. I was insecure at the time so I agree with you "fly" but again I was 18 at the time and very stupid. I learned a valuable lesson.

When I met my second girlfriend 19 months ago, she could barely get it out of me. Whenever I did say it she'd fall off her seat and each time it was totally worth it when I did so I agree with lioness on that. Needless to say when that ended it was much harder to deal with as it's the one thing you should never say unless you mean it. But IMO there's a catch, the more you say it, the less meaning it holds. Say it when it needs to be said, not when you forget to put the toilet seat down.

As for EssJayW saying why are so many guys on the Internet when they should be out trying to get a lady, well I'm at work at the moment and it aint like I can just get up and leave to go try and score at the PUB. Plus it's 3:15pm. Not only does it look bad when I leave work at three hours early, but my Boss gets shirty whenever I come back blind and fall asleep at my desk. he he he
But I do agree with your take on bastards.

All I really wanted to say is we're not all dogs. But just like anything, finding that out is all "trial and error."
