Anyone who knocks Bowden, get yourself the tape of tonight's game and watch it over and over again until you realize just how important Bowden is.
He is Mr. Composure

Nahas... you are the missing small forward we have needed, play this boy for the rest of the year, he has a heart the size of pharlaps :thumbsu:

Riewoldt you are going to be a freak...
BOOKMARK IT- i bet my left nut on it that he will captain our club.

Jackson... i have said it many times, he is one of our most important players, brilliant game, well done son. All you Jackson knockers better shutup now.

I could go through nearly the whole team praising them but i have better things to do like continue drinking beer.

I know its only 1 win boys and we have had a shocking first month of the year but like we have done for many years lets get behind our boys and show the football community why we are the most passionate supporters in the afl

CARNNNNNNNNNNNNNN THE TIGERRRSSSSSSSSSSSSSS :thumbsu:

I knock Bowden when he deserves to be knocked, and trust me there are times when he deserves everything he gets.
But I have no problem applauding great performances, he was fantastically composed tonight. Also showed he can still run and take the game on which was great to see.

Bowden does have some bad games, but everyone would have to admit when he plays good he plays awesome. One of the smartest players, last two weeks have been sensational. In the Sun it showed he carried the ball 1000m last game:eek:. Flies the flag for his teammates too.

Nahas has been a livewire. I didnt like him at the start, thought he was too small, weak and had poor skills (Skills still arn't that good but showed something).

Some of Jackson's spearing passes into the forward fifty were perfect, does have the occasional lapse in concentration though. All in all good size, good work ethic and can use the ball well. If he can perform like that more often he will go along way.

Only reason people knock Bowden is because the gap between his best and worst is starting to widen which happens with age. Starting to look very slow and not to mention he is another 30+ year old holding out a kid from developing.

I'd say BF supports a plan for the club that will lead to success in the long term rather than the same quick fixes that ultimately lead to stagnation. But I guess anyone who doesn't get all giddy about a 1-4 record after 5 games isn't a "real tiger" in nut's book.

No it's understanding that we have a talented list... yes our start has been woeful... but we are a good side and I expect us to go close to making the eight...

So you take Bowden out of the game.... and it puts pressure on the kids... they buckle and the ROOS win.... nice.... who do you actually support ???

You would also take Richo out to employ the youth policy. Advantage being you're getting game time into youngsters who are fighting for spots and you will probably finish bottom 4 allowing for a high first round draft pick. I have no doubt Cousins, Brown, Simmonds and even Johnson down the track will all be the side, we will be well on our way to another 9th finish and some average draft picks. It has been said many times we do not have a great list so it is obvious in the last uncomprimised draft we need to finish bottom 4 at least and choose wisely.

Good sides don't turn the ball over repeatedly. Good sides have big bodies and a deep list. Good sides do the 1%s, they harass, they tackle, they block, they shepard and they run hard to make position. These are things we have not.

and these good sides magically have big bodies... did you notice JON;s body.... it's well on the way to becoming built for AFL... and low and behold he starts to play well...

I thought we harassed, tackled (ask Harvey..oh thats right you want Jackson delisted), blocked and they sheparded well.

Hmm one game nut, tell me how did the side go in these areas in those forgotten first 4 games? How about over the last 5 years? Poor kicking skills were still evident for all to see.

Yes but it improved as the game went on...amazing what confidence does... Do I have to dig up those Geelong threads in 2007 for you to see the turn around that happened with Geelong??? they went from a "Shithouse" skilled side to Premiers in the same year... in a 8 year rebuild.

Laughable to say the least. Geelong went from preliminary finalists, to semi finalists, to 10th and then to premiers. They were always good, their list was always good, it has been well documented the club's 2006 downfall was a result of internal factors that was ruining the playing group. 2006 was an aberration, to compare us to Geelong is simplistic and wrong. Richmond players continue to demonstrate they lack the skills and hardness to be good AFL players. Keep living in your fantasy land that Richmond 2005-2009 = Geelong 2006 Nut.

ok it took 5 years to build a good side in 2005

Thompson was coach from 2000 and Geelong made the preliminary finals by his 5th year. Wallace has had the same time and not only is our list a basket case, but we won't even make an elimination final.

I been reading junk like this since the day I signed up. Im starting to think that Richmond supporters are simply total masochists.

Silly boy beaver.
All you needed to do was add highly unlikely to this post and it would have been safe.
The way it reads you will have not just the egg but the whole chicken on your face if we somehow do make finals and get through an elimination final.
It is unlikely but it is still very much possible.
Mark this one for a bump Nut, you may get massive mileage out of it later this year. :thumbsu:
