I know you's probalby dont care, but i have to express my delight over my clubs first grade semi final berth.

Anyway, I must also say, that over the weekend i witnessed the best game of cricket i've ever seen.

Sydney 1st Grade Qualifying Final. Easts (my boys) v Manly (the other mob).

We won 267 - 248. Anthony Stuart, the forgetton man of NSW cricket took 3 wickets.

And Mark Patterson broke the record for the most 1st Grade runs at our club. Most of you wouldn't know him, as he only played a handful of first class games but his 142 on Saturday left no doubt in my mind he was the best player ive known not to have a distinguished NSW career.

And next week we will have Greg Matthews back for the semi final. Things are looking good for us to move into the final and win our first premiership in 10 years.

Hehe, heard a similar wrap up on ABC radio as the commentators relayed the news to Greg Matthews. You weren't the bloke that rang them, were you?

It's very interesting listening to Greg and his candid observations, doesn't hold back opinions, and when someone is a dud he calls it as such (re: comments about Mongia's crap footwork). I was also amused when he analysed the bowling action of (I think) Bahutule, and how in his follow through his arm "should be going all the way across his body, but it stops near his penis". That had me laughing for about an hour!

That's very funny Darky,I always like to hear the veiws of a bloke with a bit of personality rather than the usual predictable old tripe.
That reminds me of a some commentary over here a good few years ago when the commentator said 'The bowler's Holding the batsman's Willey' or 'Botham couldn't get his leg over'(when Beefy trod on the stumps) which was followed by about 10 mins of giggling from Brian Johnson(who was in his 60's at the time!)
