Just curious to everyones opinion...if Guy singing WAWW used the original arrangement that himself and John Foreman had worked in the semi-final (top 40) show, do you think that version would have worked better and polled him more votes?

also if, hypothetically, Shannon won Australian Idol and went to World Idol with What about me, the chances of him polling in front of what Guy would have been slim, as WAM isnt a well-known popular song overseas.

I hope all you guys watch Eurovision as well, because let me assure you this wasn't a patch on it.

Watched both the show and the verdict with a large group of friends, and we were all in agreement Kurt would win - can't believe I didn't back him at $7!!!!

Quite simply Pan-Arabia should be fined for their voting. Alexander getting top is an embarrassment to the region. And sadly they seemed to be the only group that considered politics over what little talent was on show.

And I'm a pretty placid guy - but the thought of punching the living crap out of Will Young gives me joy. Sh*te performance and a tosser to boot - British pop to a tee.

No Angeleyes, I'm fine with it! Kurt was better on the night with that one song, good for him

And true, WAM isn't well-known overseas, but it has more a show-stopping quality about it, coupled with Shannon's *cough* good looks, I'd suspect that he would have finished higher...just look where Heinz finished, it sure as heck wasn't for his voice!

GH, we have all the Eurovisions from back to 1986 and this was a pretty poor effort, plus you really need the English guy talking over the top, he would have had a field day with some of the acts and voting of the nations.

And Radar, I would rather have seen the other Becks come out and sing, Victoria scares me!
