If this isn't thread worthy then I'm sure it'll find its way into the non-Eagles discussion thread, but as he is without a doubt the iconic figure of our club I thought I'd make mention. Reports are swirling that Essendon have made an offer to Worsfold to take over as head coach next season, with AFL360 tonight running with the story.
Both Gerard and Robbo claimed to have independently come to the conclusion that Worsfold would be a good fit for the next coach. In Monday's Herald Sun Woosha claimed to not be open to coaching and having not changed his position since the start of the season, when he was clear he was finished. However, tonight, Woosha has suggested that being back involved in footy has made him more receptive to the idea.
"There's no doubt that having been back involved, and then seeing how great an environment footy clubs are, that there is some thought there that a footy club is a good place to be. It's nice that people think you might have the skill set. I'll give it more thought than I have at the start of the season." -Worsfold on tonight's 7 news.
Will Worsfold wind up as Essendon coach next season, or crop up at other clubs moving forward?
