Hello,

Had a few fun bets on TAB NSW over the weekend.

First, Warwick R2. I put in a $5 flexi trifecta that will return 27.77% dividend. The final dividend was $231.20 which translates to $64.20 collect. No problem here.

Second, Flemington R3. Put in $5 box trifecta returning 20.83% dividend. The final dividend was $19.50 which should translate to $4.06 collect. However, when I scanned my ticket it says 'Nil Pay'.

Third, Warwick R3. Again, put in a $5 flexi trifecta that will return 27.77% dividend. The final dividend was $100.40 which should translate to $27.88 collect. But when I scanned my ticket it only paid me $9 and something.

Am I missing something here or could it be that TAB calculated it wrongly? The only thing is, I've already scanned my ticket and unfortunately didn't complain on the spot.

Is there a way for TAB to re-validate my ticket?

Thanks!

Positive I'm looking at the correct divs. I was the outlet during the race. Double-checked it again awhile ago thru the NSW TAB website and it's the correct divs.

For Flemington R3, trifecta is: 3,2,1 - I have boxed flexi trifecta of 1,2,3,4
For Warwick R3, trifecta is: 3,7,4 - I have flexi trifecta as (1,3) roving banker / 4,6,7

On the second one are you sure you didn't use the winning ticket to place another bet in the mean time? Given it's only about $30 overall I'd just leave it and write it off as a lesson learned for the grief it will cause chasing it up, and if it happens again bring it up at the time.

I called TAB support and they told me to send the ticket to their Claims department for verification.

For the 2nd ticket, the customer support told me it should not be a winning ticket since I have 2 roving bankers - which to her explanation both roving bankers should have landed a place. Her theory then is that because only 1 of my roving banker landed a place I only got a third of the 27.77% I'm expecting. But she's just speculating...

I wonder how roving bankers do really work.

And yep, I wouldn't pursue this any longer with TAB...Am just going to be a bit more on the lookout whenever I do collect... :)

you should pursue it just to get a good explanation at the least. Only takes a quick letter asking for an explanation.

WRT Roving Banker:

If you have one roving banker it MUST fill any spot in the first three (Trifecta).

If you have two roving bankers they BOTH MUST fill any spots in the first three (Tri).

Same goes for F4's. Your rover/s can fill any spot, but must fill a spot.

WRT Electronic Betting Terminals:

Always check and re-check what you think to be a winning ticket. The scanners aren't the best.

If you have two roving bankers they BOTH MUST fill any spots in the first three (Tri).

If that's the case, then this ticket:

For Warwick R3, trifecta is: 3,7,4 - I have flexi trifecta as (1,3) roving banker / 4,6,7

shouldn't be a winning ticket after all, but I still get paid which seems to equate to 3rd of the actual % dividend printed on the ticket....

To my knowledge, if you've got 1,3 roving with 4,6,7 then these are your winning combo's:
134
143
314
341
413
431
136
163
613
631
316
361
137
173
317
371
713
731

As 1 and 3 are the rovers, they must fill two positions.

The only way I can't see this being the case is if there's been a DH in one of the positions, meaning you'll get a %age of your original combo.
