That may be so ... but FFS wait until round 8 before making these declarations... FWIW .. the saints will give the cats the biggest run for thier money . That side is as ripe as Geelong was a couple of years ago

Point being ... Connors , Polo and Edwards are three massive ins for us going forward ... Rance and Cotchin are on ice . Duds like Tristan Cartidge getting a run . Friday night whilst wreeking of same old same old ... has to be put in context . kick and giggle ... riddled with mistakes ... stiff shit .

We look at every year with expectation and fair enough ... we know our history , just leave the expectation for the real stuff .

There are generally two times a year where the nutbags come out of the woodwork as far as I can gather:

Pre-season - We're either going to finish last and borderline fold, or have a crack at the flag and all our players and staff should be knighted, and;

National Draft - Every kid that we pick up is either a hack and Miller etc should be sacked for picking him, or the kid is our saviour and we should appoint him captain asap.


There were some signs that weren't the greatest last weekend, but the sky certainly hasn't fallen in (yet). If the team structure is the same in Round 18 what it was on the weekend, I'd have some concerns, but no need for razor blades yet.
