My old company had one and when I took guests it was a waste of time - I was too busy serving them to watch the game. After one Crows game I decided I would only take guests to Port games.

Yes Fergus. As you so correctly have said I do wear the mantle of corporate box king - and love it!!

Sadly the second part of your intelligence is also correct - it appears that my host and friend enjoys my colourful language. He informs me before each game that my invitation is conditional upon me swearing at the game, umpire, whatever - I have never let him down yet!!

Just a little story against myself on this topic. It's pretty well the same people in the 8 person box every week. This particular week, there was a chap there that I didn't know - a nice friendly talkative chap who was knocking down the free drink at a pretty frantic pace. Naturally I was at my colourful best and the language was really flying. My host and the newcomer had been talking a fair bit, and i had sort of noticed that he was addressing the newcomer as "father" all the time. Finally it dawned upon me approaching half time that maybe there really was a possibility that this guy really was a Catholic "father" - a priest. Apprehensively I asked him if this was the case, to which he replied that indeed he was, and that his arm was nearly dropping off from making the sign of the cross, and saying "bless you my son" each time I swore!!

Actually he turned out to be a top bloke, and outdrank everyone else in the box!!
