Surprised that there isn't a thread for this yet.

Anyway, I've been playing 2k16 for a bit, and man, I am SO HAPPY that they have the option to change the submission system back to the button mash version. 2k16's sub system is ****ing horrendous.

These games always look good (with a few exceptions), until you play them.
I wasn't going to buy last year's, then I got suckered in when it was on sale and grabbed it. Played the showcase through, then played a couple of hours of the career and never touched it again. Probably spent longer making my character than I did playing the career.

They seem to be going down the path of lots of sports games and making things way too overly complicated instead of fun.

Plenty of people like it, I can't understand why there are people who prefer button mashing.
I'm going to back the wheel as well.

After a long enough play session the button mashing would always result in a blister on my thumb. The wheel may have taken some getting use to but at least I knew when I was about to give up.

I just don't get how NBA 2k can be so ******* great, then their WWE team produces what they do, its crazy.

Pretty sure it's still the same team (yukes) making it, just the publisher has changed.

That could very well explain it then.

I've had a lot of fun mucking around with the character creation, custom entrances etc so far. I find all that stuff really engrossing.

Not sure about the actual wrestling though - with the new reversal system, it seems like I'm just waiting for the CPU character to make a mistake. I spend most matches with my character lying on the ground. I'd prefer something more dynamic, maybe it opens up a bit more as you go on, and hopefully I'm just missing a few things.

Also wouldn't mind a women's career - I wanted to play as a evil mma type who would slap the fake tan of becky lynch's terra cotta face.

Really looking forward to spending a fair bit of time with this over the weekend.

edit: if you'd like to spend time in NXT, be sure not to beat Joe in practice or Enzo in the promo class, otherwise you'll go straight to the main roster.

I've definitely felt once the CPU gets a roll on it's much harder to turn the tide. I haven't minded that so much, at least it brings some sort of challenge.

I also made that mistake. I was really looking forward to dominating NXT but I've been pushed into the main roster tag division with some jobber. :(
