Listening to a playlist of WWE PPV themes as we speak on YouTube and hearing some rippers and some shit songs.

What do you guys rate as the best PPV theme song and the worst?

For me, the best is the 2008 Cyber Sunday theme song Propane Nightmares by Pendulum (the very song that got me into Pendulum) while the worst for me is the 2007 SummerSlam theme by Kat DeLuna (can't remember which song it is.)

Creed - My Sacrifice - Fairly certain it was for a PPV, although it may have been for a feud. Man it was good.

Re: WWE PPV Themes.

"My Way" by Limp Bizkit for WM 17... was great for the Rock v Austin promo they did

Always, saliva - survivor series 2002.

Creed - My Sacrifice - Fairly certain it was for a PPV, although it may have been for a feud. Man it was good.

4 Posts and you have found my 3 favourites, have all of these songs on my i-pod for that very reason. My Way probably the fave. But not much in it.

Re: WWE PPV Themes.

Don't really like any songs they use in wrestling, but I think the best use of songs would be:

- Highway to Hell [SummerSlam 1998; Stone Cold vs The Undertaker]
- My Way [WMX7 2001; Stone Cold vs The Rock]
- Beautiful Day [2002; Triple H's return]

Not an actual theme. But in YouTube there is a clip of the punk/Cena match from mitb last year to pendulum's witchcraft. My song of last year and match from last year all in one.

WrestleMania 21 - The Soundtrack of Our Lives - Bigtime

Love that song!

I think Ladies and Gentlemen by Saliva for Wrestlemania 22 was pretty fitting.

Absolutely outstanding at the end of WM17 when they showed this promo.

We used to refer to it as the 'Stone Cold' song, they played it with highlights of him pre injury before he made his comeback.

My Sacrifice is definitely up there. They made a number of Desire videos which were all outstanding. Other notable songs that weren't actual pay per view themes that I can remember were the WWE using Beautiful Day to hype Triple H's return from the quad injury and Finger Eleven's "Restless Tonight" being used as a Chris Benoit package.

Other good PPV themes not mentioned already include Monster by Skillet, Step Up by Drowning Pool, You're Going Down by Sick Puppies, AC/DC's Spoilin' For a Fight, Headstrong by Trapt, Saliva with Hunt You Down, Click Click Boom and Ladies and Gentlemen, Bodies by Drowning Pool (numerous pay per views), Click Click Boom by Saliva, Seasons by The Veer, Let it Rock by Kevin Rudolph and Lil Wayne,

A special mention to Fozzy for providing the world 'Enemy'.

I still reckon "King Nothing" by Metallica would make one hell of a theme to use for RAW. Opening riff is perfect for playing before and after ad breaks. Sounds like something they would have used during the Attitude Era (was released in 1996), but still.

Don't mind "Burning it to the ground" by Nickelback, big improvement over that "To be loved" emo crap they had before.

Smackdown's theme is just plain woeful. Does not belong in a wrestling show. "Beautiful People" was better.

I guess I am partial to heavy 90s tunes.
