so far thats done the trick for me, thanks heaps for your help guys and hopefully I won't need anymore =)The controllers are prone to little glitches. I bought the recharge pack for mine, and now it won't work unless the recharge pack, and cord, are plugged in.
Anyway, try pressing the button above the USB ports on your 360 (provided you have your 360 standing upright to limit RROD issues), this will try and scan for controllers, sometimes the 360 really just needs to re-establish teh controllers connection for some reason.
The button is only small, right next to the memory card slot things.
