As I live in the country I was wondering how it went?. My Grandchildren wanted me to take them to Perth for the weekend but it is a little to far away with Christmas just around the corner.

It went well. The guys did a good job running the clinics.

It's interesting to see how they handle the kids. Barlow was very humourous, Mundy was scaring the little ones with his mountain man looks and Balla was cranky. I don't think he likes to babysit!

At one point whilst signing the kids posters one of the guys (I think it was Ibbo) came up behind Balla and drew on his ear with his texta, Balla spun around and yelled f*** off you f***ing w*****! The kids were a little shocked with that, but Ibbo just laughed knowing he'd set Balla up perfectly and he reacted just how he thought he would.

As per usual, there was a sprinkling of idiots dressed up in all their Egirl gear, and i'm not just talking kids! Some people are just rejects really. Sad.

sorry 4 the late reply

we went last year as well as this year & i must commend the club.

the kids were put into school year groups & then the kids went off 4 the training drills.

never mind that the kids were broken up into 2 sections so my boy (who went into the year 5 group with a mate, but is year 4) only trained with 1/2 of the players.

most of the players were into it, like Barlow, Sandi & Ballantyne, & of course Crowley. as for the drill run ny Schammer & Clarke was kick 2 kick & they actually spent time chatting with each other with zero input into what the kids were doing. i reckon Schammer could learn a bit from my highly skilled son. LOL

after that they were all instructed 2 sit in their original school year groups & the players came around signing free team posters.

then, once the kids were sent back 2 their parents, there began the introduction of the whole playing group 2 the public. (maybe by Dean "Clairs?") who is a radio dj. he was the MC & quite good, but then again Gossage was good last year (& he did a few more player interviews)

there was quite a wait b4 the Xmas Carols started & many of the songs weren't Carols, & there were too many different singing groups

it was a long wait until the fireworks, perhaps 845pm, but they were the best i've seen considering how close we were 2 it.

Junior agreed with me
