Bit harsh on Aaron Joesph there IMO.

Joseph is only 20, debuted this year & is a tagger because his game has not developed enough to be in our best 22 as a midfielder. He didn't need to be experienced, mature or have a well developed game to fulfil the tagging role (a role which he performed admirably this season).

As Joseph develops, plays more at AFL level & matures as a player, he will become part of our midfield rotation & the tagging role will fall to another younger, less experienced player, who needs to develop their game.

This is the best way to develop players quickly as they learn from those they are tagging how to find the ball and how best to position themselves.
I have seen one of my boys used as a tagger last year and this year play as a tall midfielder. He has gone from a player who couldn't play very well to a player the Eastern Ranges have shown interest in. Hopefully next year he develops even further. very good point MS.

In a couple of years Yarran will be a very very good player i went to the game Friday nite and every time he gets the ball he does somthing special he didnt play his best game but this takle he laid on this guy u could hear the thug from the contact and got up and delivered a fantastic kick to some guy:thumbsu:

And kicked 5 goals the week before

Apparently Ratts is always on his back at training about working harder.

Work ethic is the only concern over the kid, otherwise he will be a very good player.

If he has any brains he will follow Judd around all preseason..it's all he has to do and he will have a 14 year career earning an average of 450k a year!
