Definitely don't feel that way. Heading into the finals for the first time in over a decade. Should have two big wins in the final two rounds. Carlton and Essendon have major worries. :thumbsu:

We're in a holding pattern until the first week of finals - can't get knocked out now so have a couple of dead rubbers to finish off the H&A - the Essendon fiasco doesn't help!

yeah its a bloody exciting time to be a richmond fan, **** not being interested on the eve of our first finals apearence years

Is it just me or is everyone else over the footy at the moment. Just spent 2 weeks in fiji without any television, thinking can't wait to get back to watch the footy but with the essendon crap and the fact we know we are playing finals, I find it a bit booring.
Rather be sitting on a knifes edge of pure excitement that we had no chance of finals like the last decade?
C'mon Webbie get your head in the game!!

I just can't wait for the finals to kick off. Yes the Essendon thing is a joke, a disgrace, and the 'reporting' of it is far too widespread and ludicrous (see Stevo's 'breaking' news last night), but we are playing finals! Locked in. It's been 12 long years, I've gone from a pimply faced year 8 kid to having finished uni and worked full time in Finance for over 4yrs. The wait is almost over. I'm like a kid a couple of weeks out from Christmas! Over footy??? Couldn't be further from the truth!

I've noticed this too. I 'should' be enjoying this season more than any other because we've had more wins than we're used to and are primed to play finals for the first time in 12 years but for whatever reason, I haven't felt the magic of it all as much as I thought I would. I'm sure it will kick into overdrive though as soon as the finals series starts :D

I think the final few rounds are a bit more boring than normal because of a few things, including the fact that the top four is locked in; top two unlikely to change; fifth and sixth unlikely to change; bizarre programming of meaningless match between Sydney and Hawthorn in Round 23 (what on earth was the AFL thinking with that one?); and obviously Essendon is hogging the spotlight, too

I think it makes sense personally. I still get excited for the big games, the games against other top 8 sides, but when we play minnows it's a bit boring. But that's just a symptom of success, in the past every week was a tough game that we couldn't expect to win so we were on the edge of our seat from the first minute every game. These days if we are down against a bottom 6 team at quarter time the feeling is "Doesn't matter, we'll come back" rather than "Oh ****, not again!"

To me that's been the difference. But come finals, it all the boring wins will be well worth it :D
