As an interstate fan who gets no news in the off-season I have been savouring the Black & White Official 2008 Yearbook my dear sis sent me for christmas. A few discussion points;

An excellent publication, kudos to the club!

After many hours studying statistics and match reports, Rhyce had a bloody good year that I think was a bit underated - particularly dissapointed with the 2008 player profiles where each player gets a bit of a rap but Rhyce gets not much at all.

Shane O'Bree is clearly valued by all at the club, his piece is the highlight of the book IMO. He is maligned on these pages but look at page 81- 3rd in disposals, 1st in handballs, clearances, tackles & goal assists! OK he aint Chris Judd but there are worse inside mids in the AFL.

Attitude is everything and reading the words from the mouths of Brown, Harry, Meds, Maxy, OB, Pendles & Scribble (my early nomination for Swanny's '09 nickname), we are on the right track.

Stats only tell so much, mate. I was in Rhyce's corner all last season, but he lets you down too often with disposal. I think a guy like Brad Dick could come in and have 10 kicks in a game but have much more impact.

I've grown to like O'Bree, I like players who perform consistently, you need them just as much as match-winners. I think he's stepped up to fill a void in our midfield and insiders at the club would really respect that.
