Reports: Pierce Hanley (kneeing)

Coaches Presser:

"You got beaten in a lot of areas including contested ball and clearances, yet still managed to win comfortably, what do you put this down to?"
Prince: Just our defensive efforts and making the most of our opportunities. Ideally you want to be ahead in those areas, but being able to win even when you get beaten in them is pleasing.

"Shaun Hampson did ok in the ruck, but had little influence accross the ground with only 2 possessions, did you find that disappointing?"
Prince: Yeah, its always been an issue of Shauns. He is a very good ruckman, around the ground he lacks. He has improved though

"Shane Edwards has been more inconsistent in the past year than usual?"
Prince: He has been a little disappointing, but I think he will get back in form. We have been playing him mostly in the forward line as opposed to midfield.

Coaches Presser:

"It was a slow start, but you won by 46 in the end, were you disappointed with the first quarter?"
Prince: Yeah our first was pretty bad, we were ok in the midfield, but our forwards let themselves get dominated by their defence, that combined with our poor kicking led to a goalless quarter, second quarter we were more efficient. Our second half was cleaner and better.

"Shaun Hampson has improved last two years but got beaten in the ruck badly today?"
Prince: It was disappointing from Shaun, not from a lack of effort, he just simply got out beaten.

"Was it a lack of effort or was it their defense?"
Prince: Their defenders pressure was great, it wasn't a lack of effort as such, but we didn't try harder at first to get ahead of them either. Our kicking was again quite poor as well.

"Shane Edwards was omitted from the side, is there a chance he will be back next week?"
Prince: He had quite a good game in the VFL yesterday so it is more than likely he will return. We have been disappointed with his performances recently, so dropped him so he can get his form back"

"You are now 5 wins, 0 losses, 3 of those wins have been over 70 points, 2 over 40, what does this say to you"
Prince: That we are a matured, improved side showing its potential. We have a real hunger to get out there and hunt our opponents, make a statement. Ive been rather impressed the start of the year minus a couple of quarters.

"Hhow did Jack Hombsch fare playing against his old side?"
Prince He was very nervous before the game as you would be, but he didn't let it get in the way of putting up a very good performance, 19 spoils and 4 rebounds.
