I like Bevo, I really do, his a great speaker and the boys at the club do genuinely love the guy.

Do I think the writing is on the wall? No, not yet, but maybe it is getting close.

Our problems aren't necessarily Bevo, they're listed related, now, if that is BECAUSE Bevo doesn't want certain players/roles, then yes, Bevo needs to go. Frankly looking at our current list there just isn't replacements for the Cordy/Gardners, arguably we do have replacements for other areas we're hurting, and I do think it's a big problem with match committee / selection, and some ex-Dogs players have come out and said as such but bringing in Clarko tomorrow wouldn't change some of our gaping issues that we currently have.

We're two key defenders and a ruck short of a healthy list, we can get by with the current forward line (Naughton/JUH must always play, Bruce comes in as soon as possible) but we really do lack in some list positions and frankly we can't just fix that tomorrow, worst part is we don't even have a list spot open to hit the mid-season draft again.

I don't want Clarko. The game has probably gone past him by now. I'd be more interested in bringing in a new up-and-coming coach with fresh ideas. Jason Akermanis would be a good fit.

He’s a great fit for Tassie in the same way Sheedy was good for GWS. Build club structure and culture then hand it off to someone after 6 or so years. Let Clarko retire and walk into the sunset with a bag of cash

its more the 0-2. Not that I was surprised we lost.. I saw nothing in the Melbourne game to say we had improved, and its obvious Carlton have. Same haphazard forward "system", same working over time for each goal, same poor kicking for goal. Same for 7 years.

In all seriousness, we kick 3 of those shots in the last qtr and we win, playing only two quarters of footy.

While not being able to play 4 quarters is a concern, I'm still hopeful that we can turn this around starting next week. O'Brien in, Baz hopefully back and we're every chance to be 4-2 after 6. Keep the faith!

There is no comparison. it is like comparing Beasley with Lockett. Beasley was a very good full forward but not in Locketts hemisphere

I don't actually know why this is a conversation.

We need to accept our status in the game. Alastair Clarkson is not going to coach a small club like us. He will coach the Carltons, Collingwoods, Richmonds in Victoria or be put in a role to be a serious needle mover in a market where a team either isn't performing well or isn't performing at all (Tasmania).

No interest. What we need is not Clarko but what Clarko had.

He had heaps of amazing Senior Assistants. He had Bevo, Dew, Simpson, Ratten, Hardwick and Leon Cameron.

But it would be pretty silly to write off a player like, say, Reiwoldt or Pavlich, after their first 7 years in the game, when trying to draw a direct comparison to someone who'd had a 17 year career (Lockett etc).
