Another absolute guess : Godfrey Evans - although maybe Brian Close or Sir Colin Cowdrey may have been more appropriate given the nature of their Test appearances during the mid 70s.

Brett Li is right on the money, it was none other then the greatest bowler who ever lived (or so he told us) Fred Trueman who appeared on Dad's Army.
