Last minute bid to trade him to bombers failed when dealine was missed by 30 seconds - apparently Miller went to the wrong room and missed the afl officials - well so SEN says - no word on what essendon were giving up.

Makes you wonder when deals fail by 30 seconds - does not seem right. But i guess rules are rules.

We don't have to talk him into staying. He has 1 more year on his contract and so can't nominate for the PSD and we can't cut him. He is at Richmond last year no matter what.

Richmond get: pick 30
Essendon get: pick 36 and Zantuck.

So giving up Zantuck to move up 6 places late in the draft.

No loss.

What a crap deal we were offered. I'm glad it didn't go through. So what's the deal, why did he want to leave anyway? Or where we trying to push him out the door?

Terrible deal, very glad it didn't happen. Zantuck would be worth moving up 6 places but not that far down the draft.
