I think you guys would be really interested in the Zeitgeist films.

From Wikipedia:
"Zeitgeist, the Movie is a 2007 documentary film by Peter Joseph about historical and modern conspiracies, including the origins of Christianity, the September 11 2001 terrorist attacks, and the banking system. Due to subject matter and the unorthodox methods used in citing the sources for the information presented, many of the statements and sources in the film are very controversial.

A sequel, Zeitgeist: Addendum, advocates a technology-based social system influenced by the ideas of Jacque Fresco and The Venus Project"

You can watch the films on google video:

Zeitgeist, the Movie

Zeitgeist: Addendum

Torrents of the movies can be downloaded from here. They're legal torrents for those who care.

Please, please, please don't make the assumption that this is cultish bunk (which I did before I watched it), if you're interested in religion, watch the first half hour of the first film and I guarantee you'll be hooked.

I'm a member of the Perth chapter of the movement, and I've spent many hours researching the claims of the group, so feel free to ask me for clarification or qualification of the movies' claims.

Hey, I don't start those threads...

But to answer, no, ridiculing a onspiracy theorist is always fun, whether they be climat change deniers or 9/11 twuthers. Both are as mindlessly idiotic as eachother.

What do you base your opinion of 9/11 on?

Common sense? Facts that haven't been taken out of context? The official investigation was hoplessly flawed but as far as I can tell most of the conspiracy theories are pretty damned hollow. But there are numerous threads running on both topics, I'd suggest doing a search because this thread will probably end up getting bumped to Question Time soon anyway.

I understand where you're coming from, The 9/11 truth movement is quite profitable for people like Alex Jones, someone who does spreads his fair share of false arguments and disinformation.

I do put stock into arguments like this:

You can download Professor Harrit's peer reviewed paper from here:

Regardless though, the 9/11 truth movement isn't the central aspect of Zeitgeist Movement, far from it. Have you watched either/any of the films?
