Seemed like the players were so drilled into being in the right "zone" that they couldn't use their own common sense when better options were presented. The nightmare trying to get the ball out of the backline could have been averted several times if a player had just run to the right space instead of hovering around where he's "supposed" to be.
It's like the players are being drilled for tactics without really understanding why the tactics would work and when to abandon them for a better option.
