Rockliff’s biggest fan misses his Killa night

Rocky leaves family at home for milestone as Killa mans the couch. NOT many things worked against Tom Rockliff on Saturday night. “Rocky” racked up another cool 43 touches as his Lions pounded Collingwood at the MCG with many of his friends and family from the Benalla region there to celebrate his 100th game. But one tiny thing, well a 10kg thing to be exact, just didn’t go to plan. Rockliff had asked, tongue in cheek, if he could carry his beloved dachshund through his milestone banner. “Killa” is a key figure in Rockliff’s life, having a range of winter clothes and even his own Instagram account. So when 17-month-old @Killa_Sausage posted his desire to join the “other kids”of milestone players and follow “dad” through the banner, he was reportedly devastated when his chance was denied.

I have 3 dachshund's (had 4 at one stage), great dogs, they love being under the covers of the bed at night (keeps your feet warm) and love affection, the one thing they do though is bark though. Anyways, good dog choice Tommy, you never seem to disappoint me:thumbsu:

Who is the teacher’s pet at the Gabba, Dayne Zorko or Tom Rockliff?
It was Zorko early because he was flying in the pre-season. People think it’s Rocky now because he sits in this office the most. He also annoys me the most.

You publicly whacked Rocky for his two suspensions. Will you do the same for creating an Instagram account for his pet sausage dog?

No. We all love Killa. I can’t bag him. He’s the best.

Tom Rockliff is now averaging more disposals per game then GAJ (32.1) at 32.7.

Whilst also leading the league in average tackles at 9.1, Tom Libba is second with 8.2

Not to mention he is averaging 40 disposals, 7.7 clearances and 8.5 tackles the last 8 weeks.

Top 3 player in the competition based on this years performances with Ablett ahead and Fyfe(slightly ahead).

The Wash-Up: Brisbane Lions

MVP: Tom Rockliff His stats say it all, but Rockliff's influence runs much deeper. After finishing fifth in last year's Brownlow Medal count, the 24-year-old took his game to another level, leading the league in average disposals and tackles. The vice-captain is the Lions' spiritual leader, and when he missed games through suspension against Geelong and West Coast, the Lions lost narrowly. He is a future captain and in contention for his first All Australian selection.

SEN interview with Rocky this week.

Discussion covers his on-field demeanour/attitude, why he rarely gets tagged, the young stars at the club, and the effectiveness of Killa the Sausage dog in picking up girls.

Still, it's hard to see him making the team when we get some A-Graders in.

Simon Black rigged out of another B&F last night.
