How so? I have looked at this cartoon now 3 times and am unable to come to that conclusion.

He does suggest that depicting Mohammed is racist and that racist cartoons have become a beckon for free speech, and makes it clear that this is not his style so he doesn't get to put his family at risk.

Seems to have foot in both camps really. Firstly killing someone over a cartoon is stupid, but if they don't print this offensive cartoons, nobody will want to kill you.
