No Port in Melbourne. Boo.

No Geelong in Melbourne. Boo.

No West Coast in Melbourne. Boo.

Travelling every second week for most of the year. Boo.

No need to be charitable Jen

Couple things I noted, may have already been mentioned;

  • Crows, Power, Cats and Eagles as our Tassie games
  • We play West Coast in Perth immediately after our bye week, meaning we should be pretty rested for the longest journey we'll make in 2024
  • We don't have any back-to-back interstate away games, however we do play the Swans in Sydney in round 19 and then a Hobart home game in round 20
  • Our Marvel home game opponents are Freo, Carlton, Hawthorn, Collingwood, Bulldogs, Gold Coast, and Richmond, which is a pretty good slate
  • For what feels like the first time in years, we are not playing on Mothers day!
  • With 4 home games in Tassie plus a 5th game 'away' against Hawthorn in Launceston in round 24, we play a total of five games in Tasmania this year which is... a lot.

We get to play Gold Coast, West Coast, and Hawthorn twice each. Which is great because all three of those are potential bottom 4 teams in 2024.

Gives us a good opportunity to see some real improvement in 2024.

Love the little PS2 AFL Live thing we did.
GWS: "Please insert a Non-Expansion or Recognisable format disc."

We dont usually win our game after a bye do we?

Would have rather played the Bummers as a home game and the Dawks or Doggies at Hobart...

but overall its a pretty good fixture for a change...
