Ok.. cool. Explain why they are waiting until Monday then?
The 'appeal' will not be over by Monday.
The players 'opinion' will not have changed by Monday.
Hirds ability to coach will not have changed by Monday.
So please tell me why, other than Thompson, the club would wait four days before announcing the bleeding obvious?

But they have now made it so public.. appears very unlikely either of those things could happen.
I think we have just made this messier than it ever needed to be.. for everyone. Club needs to take a long hard look at itself and address the systemic problems.

This is staggering. Essendon is well and truly playing with fire here. As I said earlier, we run the risk of transferring too much power to a single individual if the Board succumbs to threats. Already Bomber is running the show to some degree.
Again, he may still be the best person for the job, (who knows other than the players?), but this is farcial.

I was responding to a previous poster.
I was just suggesting that there was a lot of fanfare made when Hird took a holiday only two weeks ago.. but when Thompson does it.. it is all kosher. the double standards are staggering.
