This is going to be a long 2 months.
Basically, Richmond will say pick 6 is too much, will try and find alternative arrangements to keep this years pick (trade next years 1st) or downgrade to a pick 8-12 offer that and get something in return.
I expect GC will initially say nothing but pick 6...
This is going to be so drawn out and prolonged.
Put simply:
Start of negotiations
GCS we want pick 6 and a sweetener
RFC we will only give a pick around 15
8 days go past (+3 months of bigfooty)
RFC have made a commitment to Prestia and want him so they buckle. Maybe at best we trade out...
I wasn't saying that he isn't worth pick 6. Personally, I think he is. What I'm saying is that I believe the Tigers and a lot of people see Dion around the pick 10 mark. I want to see the Tigers retain a top 10 pick and land Prestia as well but I don't see that we have the skills to do that in...
Nailed the timing, first time I dipped into this thread as well!! Good luck to you guys n Hurley, the fact you have almost signed them all back up again is great for sport
I can see the Tigers using next years 1st rounder on Prestia, as if the club thinks we will be playing finals next year that will be a 10-15pick, which is about right.
Seems like the easy option though, I would prefer the Tigers to get creative and find a way of getting Prestia over and keeping...
If Cloke came over for nothing more than a 3rd round pick or a player like Jake Batchelor then I would be all for it. Especially if we get something like a pick 20-30 for Vickery and then use that on a young tall to develop.
Cloke's 2017 output > Vickery's 2017 output (@ Richmond)
Anyone thinking that we stretched for Conca at #6 needs to watch his last 2-3 games.
He started the year in defence, which has been a lesson from Dimma on how to work both ways. Since he has had stints through the midfield and the wing, he has been superb. He is one of those players you want the...
4 games into the season.... No judgements can be made.. Think this time last year, Hannerbury was unknown... At this stage, players are playing different roles for the team (lose/unaccountable, learning defensive side, run with roles etc), and spectators do not recognise this and even though one...
Re: re do the 2007 draft now that we know what we know
Cool! I don't rate Morton either! He's as soft as they come!! Traditional sheepdog, who doesn't have the elite skills to excel at that position. Reminds me of a lankier version of Jordy McMahon!
