Nice to see the continued media assassination of Thomas, apparently every single contest, lindsay drops the knees and is the only player to do so in the history of the game and all he does is stage for free kicks, **** l despise commentators.

When Paul Puopolo from the hawks does the same thing, all he gets is he is hard at it.

Everyone else is "smart". I can live with what Lindsay was doing yesterday, hard at it and earning them with some ridiculous tackles - some opposition teams have decided that he won't get a free kick no matter what and like to use the clothesline technique. It is the over the top flopping around that I can't stand from Thomas but yesterday he was a shining light.

I didn't get this impression at all yesterday.

Especially when the same commentators will see Joel Selwood do the same thing, and praise his courage and leadership.

Its funny how in the NBA drawing a foul is a skill, yet in the AFL we see it a a sin. There was a play where LT was in the middle of the ground and clearly drew a free kick, i looked at it and though that was pretty well done....he didn't stage he got a legitimate high tackle...

this. It's the flopping and wildly waving his head around that can be cringe worthy. But when he puts his head on the line (literally) and draws a free kick it's clever tough football.

A couple of tackles seemed very very excessive, can think of 2 where the player thought fine Lindsay here's your free kick and you'll earn it.

Many people on BF and social media hate him, l love him, gives his all for the team, always puts in a 100% effort for the team and always does the team thing when required, but kicks the goal if needed, proud to call him a shinboner, if Firrito didn't have the 11, Thomas or Turner would.

its then upto the other players to step in and protect the guy. I think eventually they will introduce something like a fragrant foul where you get a free kick and 50 all in one... like it or not our game is becoming less brutal.

Can anyone remember how this bloke turned his set-shot kicking around? Different grip, specialist coaching, plain hard work? Levi Casboult is killing us Carlton supporters. Cheers.
Gerard Fitzgerald. Lindsay went back to play with North Ballarat and their top coach Gerald Fitzgerald said to him to go out and do his thing. He said something along the lines of "you're too good to be playing here" but just enjoy the game. Lindsay kicked a few goals and never looked back.
He was a good kick just lost confidence after a couple of easy misses. He would be nearly the best field kick in North side.

Totally different situation. Lindsay was always a good kick, but had a mental issue for a while where he just couldn't shake the yips. But Casboult just has a very poor technique.
