Question

Your counting Kreja as Tasmanian despite coming from NSW... You also include the time Katich was with WA, Mitchell Johnsons, Shane Watson and Nathin Hauritz time with Queensland Yet separate them for their NSW stint the bulk if not all of Millers international career he was playing for Tasmania but he is exclusively recorded as Victorian?,

Krejza is not under NSW for the same reason Gilchrist and Gillespie aren't.

and yeah, it doesnt include Colin Miller's 1998 or 1999 stats when he was with Tassie.

If I did it like that it would look something like:

NSW: 20378 runs @ 36.59
WA: 13406 runs @ 45.75
QLD: 11264 runs @ 41.87
TAS: 9526 runs @ 57.04
NT: 4089 runs @ 48.68
VIC: 3381 runs @ 22.84
SA: 1680 runs @ 40.98
ENG: 1462 runs @ 40.61

NSW: 979 wkts @ 27.09
VIC: 479 wkts @ 27.72
QLD: 325 wkts @ 29.83
WA: 190 wkts @ 34.23
TAS: 35 wkts @ 34.31
ENG: 24 wkts @ 37.33
SA: 21 wkts @ 37.29
NT: 2 wkts @ 84.00

Kind of interesting although a few stats are skewed (ie runs from tasmania is basically ponting average from that period, ditto warnes wickets being victorias bowling). NSW batting is dragged down by how many bowlers we have (the likes of Mcgrath, Macgill, etc) and probably amount of people we have playing who didnt actually play many tests (bracken bollinger casson etc).
No surprise to see WA with such a good average, havent had many players but those they have had have been damn good (Gilly, Langer, Martyn, half of husseys career, even North).

A more interesting stat would be if you did the batting purely from the batters and the bowling purely from the bowlers.

Funky joined Victoria in the middle of the year 2000, he played 3 tests early in 2000 whilst still a Tasmanian

ah ok, google news says he signed in May 2000, so he didn't go right after the season with the tigers finished. In that case the season vs NZ in March 2000 (3 tests) would be with the Tigers.

Updated accordingly.

So actually Peter Siddle needed 16 runs today to draw level with SA... not just 2 as I thought before.
