Really hate that True Detective is in the main drama category. It should be up against Fargo in the miniseries and it should be McConaughey against Thornton. Instead it takes up a spot that should have gone to Hannibal or the Americans, and a leading actor nod to Mikkelsen, Dancy or Matthew Rhys or Michael Sheen. Though Downton Abbey surely is taking up one of those spots as well. Don't watch it, but I have a hard time thinking that that nomination isn't just catering for the older demographics.

But Tatiana Maslany not being nominated is amazingly bad. I've only just started watching season 2 of Orphan Black and even from those couple of episodes she remains one of the best performances on television regardless of gender. Wasn't nominated last year either.

That was HBO's call, to enter TD into best drama in the hope that it can knock off Breaking Bad in the category that has the most glory.

Doesn't seem to be much rules defining what a mini-series is.

Would love to have seen Hannibal there too, doesn't seem to be in the mix anywhere though. Still it's a superb list of 6 shows.

Modern family everywhere....again.

Treme finally gets nominated lol (for miniseries oddly after the short final season).

At least Homeland is getting phased out of the major categories.

With Mad Men not getting a Best Supporting actor nod, looks like it wont be contending this year (Mad Men awards fatigue).

We all know BrBa will likely get Drama Series & Actor.

Interested to see how True Detective goes, certainly the wildcard.

tatiana maslany and hannibal not being nominated (for ANYTHING in hannibal's case) is ******* absurd. almost 'the wire never being nominated for best series' level of ridiculous.

although, for maslany at least, it might be a good thing. shes probably received far more attention from being snubbed twice now than a nomination would've given her.

On tomorrow.

True Detective, Breaking Bad is as interesting a matchup as I can remember, even if they shouldn't be up against each other.
