To be fair Esava had a great first half of the year. Just got injured at the wrong time and had a stinker against Sydney where the structure looked wrong. He wasn't dropped cause he was playing badly he was dropped cause the structure wasn't working.

He was never ever that good. Serviceable sure. He would often start games well enough but fade right away.
Our coaching panel would give him votes whilst the opposition didn’t rate him as highly.

Even on our own board we were surprised most weeks when Sav would poll in the coaches awards.

Nonsense. You don't know who gives votes to which players. And at absolute worst the opposition coaches had him best on ground vs Adelaide in round 8 and 4th best on ground vs Collingwood in round 1.
