We did kind of know it was coming. The executive chair of the committee did say last week it has always been about the best teams and not the most deserving. They were getting their excuses in order in case Bama won.

FSU should have got in , but it was almost an impossible task to select the final 4 based on such flimsy criteria.
As others have said, I’m sure there were network considerations in the final decision

It wasn't impossible. 3 undefeated conference champs (Michigan, Washington, FSU) then Texas gets the 4th spot as it would be between the two 1 loss conference champs and they have the head to head against Bama. Simple.

Bamas record really isn’t that inspiring with the amount of get out of jail wins they had.
It’s a case of big name teams getting in. Surprised they didn’t try to squeeze Georgia in as well.

Exactly the only way Alabama gets in it for the money they help generate by being one of the teams not thru merit. Corruption of the NCAA at its finest.

If it was the best teams Georgia are in.

It was always bad. but the loudest voices in the room were always SEC aligned.

It was never about the 4 best teams, they always tried to get the 4 most deserving and they failed on both this season.

Next year wont be any deferent. SEC will send 5 teams because people still think they are the top when really others have caught up and OoC the SEC had a losing record this season. and they have the loudest voices in the room along with ESPN being a campaign platform for them.
Nice try, Mr Tinfoil Hat

And by you listing them that tells us that they aint in SEC or ESPN pockets. 🤦‍♂️

Maybe cos alabama with a worst record got in over a more deserving FSU. That explains the Tinhats.

The fact a less deserving team in Alabama got in over FSU just prove its all about revenue not the most deserving team in championship and if you believe anything else your an idiot.

But we can still argue strongly that Georgia is still one of the Best 4 teams in the NCAA.

28 Wins in a row, until the loss to Alabama in a Championship game.

the point is there is 2 teams that missed out, that had cases to be included in the Playoffs.

The issue is the crap format of only a 4 team playoff.

End of the day are we realistically wanting Florida with a 3rd string QB with a grand total of 55 passing yards last week in the 4? It’s a tragedy that their QB got injured badly but they have no offence without him.

Actually think they got this right despite the optics of leaving an undefeated side out.

Rodemaker apparently would've played if the game were a day later. Let's not pretend they were taking Glenn into the CFP as a starter.

He’s still nowhere near as good as the one that’s injured don’t blame them making the call. These are probably the 4 form teams (Georgia the 5th)

There's some irony in this considering your spelling ;) :tearsofjoy:

I don’t get the injury arguments. So if Penix goes down tomorrow and is out for a few months, we should replace Washington with Georgia?

Makes no sense.
Agree. There’s actually merit in the team rising above the adversity to prove it’s not just all about the QB

looks like Boise State will be down to their 3rd string QB vs UCLA.

1st string injured
2nd string just looking around the transfer portal (Lol, you aint gonna find something mate. You've probably just burnt yourself)
3rd string effectively has no game time.

I'll be shocked if we can keep it close vs UCLA. I think our range is 3-14 points, and UCLA's is 24+. Having said that, UCLA might have alot of outs (depth players squeezed out cause the coaches dont think good enough for BigTen, best players sit to not get injured for NFL) So who knows.
