With TDK playing so well we could drop Pittonet too and place Motlop/Dow in the side
Pittonet was huge last night. Continually wrested momentum back in the centre square contest.

I rate the chances of us going up against big Max with only one ruck as slightly less than 0%.

Pitto needs to mark.

You need talls in the side but they’ve got to be able to mark. Very important.

I’m not sure we’ve got alternatives and I understand our mids do better with pitto in side.
Pitto (and TDK) need to nullify Max like they did last time. TDK needs to present as a viable option up forward with Harry out.

They can do that then we will probably win, regardless of how many marks Pitto takes.

Those marks Martin took in the dying minutes is what talls can be very useful for. Same when going into f50.

With H out (very likely) and dees having two very good tall defenders, going to be critical that tdk take a few grabs and at the very least split their defence and make Charlie’s life a bit easier.

Last night was a bit of 2nd/3rd tall v McDonald and a bit of a sweeper. 16 touches. 6 marks and his opponent/s didn't do much against him.

I thought he was quite good and is building nicely. Did you not?
An amazing player, but lacks polish. I just see so much potential.

Bringing in Kennedy to replace the injured McKay could be the right move.
  • It makes us slightly smaller & you still have Curnow & Dekoning as key forwards with Pitto as your No 1 ruck
  • He is a bull so he can rotate to midfield & you can have Cripps forward as 3rd tall more often
  • Dees big asset is their bulls Oliver, Petracca, Viney. In a big final, it just matches Dees big strength
  • Last night Swans key defenders held the space at the contest. Kennedy is strong under the ball
  • They will want to play Petracca up forward more. We can bully them more at the contest

He’s not doing it though hey. He’s not really stopping the intercept very well. Not sure he reads the play well enough.

There is zero chance of Martin getting off

You reckon? Watch it again…he actually makes first contact with the shoulder and his hand recoils into blakeys face…so it’s definitely careless and there’s a good chance they could argue low impact as he made contact with the shoulder first before the face

Could be argued he almost spoilt the ball from Blakey’s hands hence the clinched fist motion..

Someone call Daniel Gorringe & Co Lawyers for Jackie Martin.
