Player Watch #24 - Sam Naismith

Balta is not even a proper ruck but is pretty effective when he goes in there.

Witts is a pretty good ruck so not surprised Naismith was beaten even Nank might have been beat.

If this guy hadn't had the injury storyline, i'm not sure if his signing would have even made the papers.
Pretty tough ask first up. He's a very good backup option.

Apart from being a backup with the body size and strength to cope if Nank is injured, how about what he is doing in the VFL to make it easier for our list players not in the 1sts to develop. Instead of chasing butt from every stopage they can set up proactively, plus he stops a big unit flog like Ladham monstering our smaller players. A great pickup for a couple of seasons

Do you think the coaches will give naismith a second chance next week as the deep forward who rotates into the ruck? He didn’t play well as a forward last week but it’s not his natural position so maybe the coaches will give him another try?

You'd bloody hope not. Was stupid to have him come in to play forward to begin with. Naismith should've only ever been back up to Nank, as Soldo was. He is not a forward, not even close. Ryan should've played last week, and ******* better play this week.
