Still have a few Eastern Ranges players, but none in the league of Gysberts, Moore, Blease etc who have run around in the past few seasons.

You talk about the form in the competition, but how much are the 'guns' worth to a side? Using Yarra Valley as an example from the weekend they were harder hit than Peninsula and got flogged...how much closer would they have got with the Vic Metro players?

Same with Assumption, only beat Trinity by 4 goals, but with Prestia and other state reps playing surely they'd have won by a lot more.

Going to be an interesting few weeks.

Not what the news paper said.. something like 67 to 90.

No one seems to rate Trinity at all.. and after playing them in round 2 they arnt bad.

Some schools would have had more out than others for the Vic trials. Peninsula had one missing, Yarra would have had 4-5 missing. ACK had 3-4 missing, Trinity 1.

And yes like Bartel said, the paper had the scores as 90-67 for Assumption and Trinity.

ACK play PEGS this week end on the 5th, should be a very good much with PEGS looking good and coming off some good wins, and seem to play good team footy and ACK coming off some good wins also but might have some in club issues,, also watson out for PEGS which is a big lose, but also prestia out for ACK which is also a big one out,, both playing metro
 
Assumption winning by 2 points over Pegs, played much better on the day and was a pretty ordinary 3 quaters from the Essendon Grammar boys. Last quater play well and nearly got over the line. An injury to Elliott Kavanagh in the last quater, don't know how serious but he looked like he was in strife. Nick Maric probably best on ground, Josh Toy had a quiet day for his high standards. These two teams will definitely meet again in the Grand Final.

Thats not right mate Mentone, Yarra, Camberwell, Peninsula and Ivanhoe all give out swimming scholarships.

Looks like you were wrong. Trinity lost to ACK by about 3 goals, Marcellin by 1 goal and only got thrashed by PEGs. They have beaten all of the rest fairly easily and only have Yarra Valley and Camberwell to finish off the season to finish 4th.
Not bad for a team where all 22 players went to the school in Year 7 and pay their own way.

BTW: Congrats to Marcellin who will probably finish top of the non-scholarship schools.

marcellin beating assumption by 20 odd down at marcellin yesterday. great win to the marcellin boys, great turn around when you consider the loss to pegs and assumption beating pegs.

Mate you are aware ACK are a catholic college and the fees are about 3k a year..... but anyway as i said before every school in the AGSV gives out sporting scholarships just in different disciplines. Ivanhoe and Mentone would probably give out the most.

On another not with marcelin knocking ACK off whats the ladder like now? is it a tie for first place again?

Scholarship Final is between PEGs and ACK (Yawn).

Big congrats to Marcellin who are the true Premiers of the AGSV. They even beat one of the Scholarship schools earlier in the year.

Well done Marcellin - you win the AGSV Premiership.

Mate if you're sick of hearing about PEGs and ACK than you should probably move your attentions to another forum because this is not the last you'll hear of 'em thats for sure. Quit ya whingeing and move on. No one else hear has a go at any other school like you do. Suck it up princess...

Yr 10 - ACK win every game by an average of 10 goals. Maybe they just got the teamwork working ????
Of course they cheat with scholarships - everyone knows it.

Look at their AGSV athletices result - last, last and then yes, last.

So they clearly only give AFL scholarships. HopelEss at all other sports

Complete bullshit the current year 11's team only lost 4 games between Year 7-9.
