Re. the Pendlebury debate I suggest a minimum of 9 onballers (centre, RR, rover, 2 x wing, 4 x bench) make the team (maybe more considering the selectors like to squeeze 1 or 2 on the flanks).

Here are my top 15 to date this year.
1. Fyfe
2. Hannebery
3. Pendlebury
4. Priddis
5. Dangerfield
6. Gray
7. Armitage
8. Martin
9. Ward
10. Neal
11. Mundy
12. Beams
13. Shiel
14. Cotchin
15. Vince

Good list Gaff has to be very close to that list.

seeing bruces and armos name in this thread is mind blowing from where both came from this year.

Armitage has been a good player for a while, I think he's just added more consistency and fitness to his game. He's played 120 games and his top 8 possession totals have all been this year. Was a consistent 20-25 possession player with the very occasional 30, this year has had 30+ 8 times and hasn't had below 20.

Bruce cost nothing, did nothing last year and is suddenly second in the Coleman. I hope they pick McGovern at one end and Bruce at the other. Two <50 gamers in key positions wouldn't happen often.

Still not getting this Brandon Ellis love. Good player, AA worthy this year though?
I agree. Good young outside player who gets a lot of the pill, but what he does with it isn't that special. Doesn't kick goals and his scoring chain involvement isn't great. I'd take 20 possessions from Shane Edwards before 30 from Brando at this stage.

Has Walters really been that good? A few small forwards all around the mark.
Probably got noticed recently, was best on ground for me yesterday. Had a bit of a slow start but is moving into contention atm.. Not sure he is there yet, will have to keep it up for rest of season.

Would have to be one of the better small forwards this year, would only put Chad Wingard a head of him if you go off the last 6 weeks of form. Has to be right up there imo

Been close to best the last couple of weeks

Classic case of disposals not telling the whole story

His ability to be clean with the ball when others can't and convert has been immense

I think Wingard is number one overall for the mix of goals, possessions and Eddie for the pure goal kicking - but Walters definitely in the discussion

Think the AFL team of the week is close to the money. Five Saints and Roo unlucky to miss. good to see they notice all the good 1%ers guys like Lonie and Bruce do, and Roberton finally getting accolades.
Think if you pick a sub in the team just from subs that little Burke clone Caleb is an easy pick - dogs have unearthed another beauty.

Why does Riewoldt have to be "in every team" right now? There's an argument that Bruce, Cameron, Buddy and Kennedy have all been better than him. Yes he'll be in the squad but the only KPF "in every team" should be J.J. Kennedy.

Changed my team this week.

B: Matthew Boyd, Alex Rance, Easton Wood
HB: Heath Shaw, Jeremy McGovern, Garrick Ibbotson
C: David Armitage, Nat Fyfe, Dylan Shiel
HF: Eddie Betts, Jack Riewoldt, Andrew Gaff
F: Josh Bruce, Josh Kennedy, Chad Wingard
R: Todd Goldstein, Matt Priddis, Dan Hannebury
I/C: Sam Mitchell, Scott Pendlebury, Trent Cotchin, Jordan Lewis

40 SQUAD: Michael Walters, Robert Murphy, Michael Hurley, Cale Hooker, Dustin Martin, Liam Shiels, Lance Franklin, Robbie Gray, Patrick Dangerfield, Bernie Vince, Lee Spurr, Aaron Sandilands, Harry Taylor, Leigh Montagna, Dayne Beams, Jack Steven, Lachie Neale, Josh P Kennedy.

Good team is good.

Buddy in for Riewoldt.

Gray i'm iffy on.
Isaac Smith or Dangerfield would be my suggestions.
Cotchin really stepping up this year too.

Squad;

Sydney: Parker, Kennedy, Hannebery, Franklin
WC: McGovern, Gaff, Priddis

Team;

B Shaw, Rance, McGovern
HB Wood, Hurley, Laird
C Pendlebury, Gray, Hannebery
HF Riewoldt, Franklin, Dangerfield
FF Betts, Kennedy, Wingard
R Goldstein, Fyfe, Mitchell
I Armitage, Gaff, D. Martin, R. Murphy

Either Sydney's Kennedy is kicking more goals than I realized, or Sydney are planning on stealing another gun forward!

No. Behind a lot of mids, including a couple at his own club. Needs to have a great final eight games to even figure into calculations. Off the top of my head, Fyfe, Mitchell, Pendlebury, Armitage, Hannebery, Priddis and Cotchin are all clearly ahead.
yes the guys you mentioned are clearly ahead but most if not all of them will be in the starting 22, i think he is there abouts with the next group that will be in contention for the 40 man sqaud.

I don't think Cotchin should be in any teams at this stage, but he's now moved into the top 10 AFLCA votes. However only a bit more than half of the top 10 are regularly getting named in teams right now. Food for thought.

Round 14 Leaderboard
100 Nat Fyfe (Fremantle)
69 Dan Hannebery (Sydney)
55 Scott Pendlebury (Collingwood)
52 David Armitage (St Kilda)
48 Matt Priddis (West Coast)
46 Andrew Gaff (West Coast)
45 Dayne Beams (Brisbane)
45 Todd Goldstein (North Melbourne)
44 Trent Cotchin (Richmond)
44 Dylan Shiel (GWS)
