If we are low balling his guaranteed base, I guess I could understand that.

And low balling what offer? If contracted I'd imagine we pay whatever he's on until we go to resign him, unless your talking our offer to Gold Coast.

He is contracted to end of 2017, as far as i'm aware gold coast and Bennell haven't null and voided that contract. So what are they offering, a extension? because no one needs to offer anything, till the end of his current contract. Also we don't need to match any other club's contract extension offering. Just has needs to be in the ball park. A player won't choose another club over 20 to 40k a year.
