I've always generally been pretty lukewarm on Sólstafir but i've been hitting them up a lot lately to help get me through some monotonous tasks at work, I might have to grab a couple of these albums.

Been giving latest Bloodbath 'Grand Morbid Funeral' a fair run over the weekend and it's great fun. Prob my fav alongside Nightmares Made Flesh.

Solid song, not one of my favourites but it may grow on me. In any case they are such a great live band!
I'm seeing Ne Obliviscaris tonight, is anyone else seeing them on this tour?
^Will try and check them out in Perth later this month but it's gonna be a busy month! I'm content with having seen them before, however just not with Dan Presland on drums - which it what would sell it for me - being a drummer and all.

I'm actually quite fond of some of their later material. It's definitely a lot more "accessible" than some of the early albums, which seem to polarize a lot of people, but its all good.
Liked the song from the video a lot, bought the album and was a bit disappointed since overall it is not at that level.
But most newer material is pretty decent. And they still (well, never saw them into the past anyway, so who knows ) do very well live...

very sad but unsurprising. saw some footage of him earlier this year and he looked out of it, seems like he was clean for a bit but relapsed. coke was found on the bus as well
