Excuse me for interrupting, but it seems you fellas haven't read this article..i doubt Hird and Thompson could work again together.

Personally, id prefer Bomber doesn't come to the GC, and I further hope you fellas keep Hird in the top job and all the crrap just blows away, like it always does. Hell, look what politicians get away with and we are made to forget.

Yeah, you're probably right. However, I won't read any diatribe from the AFL's communication specialist.

One thing that EFC supporters have learnt that maybe some others haven't yet is you cannot put any faith in anything written by that little maggot. Not that he is alone as the media have been hopelessly incorrect through most of this so why would they change now?

Only just heard about McCartney, this league really has lost the plot, & the goings on at other clubs lately makes the EFC backyard look freshly mowed & manicured.
I wouldn't quite go that far but you're right about the league losing the plot. This "competition" has been well and truly flushed down the shitter and the only ones who wouldn't think so are the ones who are getting the rub at the moment. Their turn will come though. Hi Sydney.

Yeah, I may have overstated the condition of our backyard a tad:oops:, but still it now appears that 3 senior coaches who were only recently considered to be doing reasonable jobs given the state of their lists etc, have been given the arse for....for....um...still waiting to hear on the exact reasons, decisions which have large financial hits attached to them.

At least at EFC, rightly or wrongly, we get the general vibe of why Hird & or Thompson may not be around next season.

Wonder if the AFL's future planning has made provisions for yet another season of growing discontent from the fans...

Gordon says McCartney demanded too much from the playing group.

Geez, hope someone at our club is on the blower to McCartney, making demands of a playing group being a 'good thing' last time I checked...
Well given their chequered off field behaviour, are you surprised?

How do you demand too much? That sounds like the dumbest comment you could make. Yup the coach knew what we needed to do to win, but it was just too much for us. We are the Doggies, we don't want to win Flags, just make prelims.

Time to change the mascot...

I'm enjoying contrasting our day with WB's day. Nothing against them, but you can be sure that the fact that our club looks rock solid in comparison wont get any traction in the media. Seriously, how bad are our internal issues when almost no one wants to leave? Even the care taker coach?
It puts a softer light on the events of the last few weeks;
Board doesn't want to appeal and doesn't want Hird to appeal (fair call)
Hird appeals and the club gets shirty (well within their rights)
Hird exercises his right to justice (well within his rights)
Board says reluctantly, "yeah i guess". (good decision)

Meanwhile, Bomber gets told Hirds leaving and so puts his cards on the table (fair enough)
Hirds not leaving so Bomber looks the villain (bad luck)

End result is that Bomber decided that he wants to coach at the AFL level and we can't offer that. He will go on his way and i don't really see why there should be hard feelings on any side.

You speak too much sense for these parts.

Not enough sympathy for poor Crameri around here..

Poor little puppy is now stuck at a minnow club, with no chance of playing finals and no coach... so sad.

Meanwhile the boys still play for the second biggest club in Victoria, one year of finals behind them with plenty more to come and Hirdy coaching.. ahhh sucks to be a turncoat..

I wouldn't be surprised if Bomber changes his mind during his holiday and announces he wont be coaching at any club when he returns.
