National Nine News
AFL club Carlton is facing more off-field drama, after defender David Teague was charged with careless driving over a crash which left a 74-year-old woman quadriplegic.
It's alleged Teague was driving on a street in Collingwood last June when he mounted the kerb and hit a parked car.
Melbourne Magistrates Court was told the woman was sleeping on the back seat of the car. The impact of the crash left her a quadriplegic.

It's believed Teague had just picked up his girlfriend after a fun run at the MCG and was returning the car to a friend when the accident occurred around 10am.
Police say alcohol was not a factor in the smash and Teague's lawyer, Jonathan Kemp, told the court the car's accelerator had stuck, forcing it to veer off course.
Teague cut a lonely figure as he trained by himself at Princes Park this afternoon.
The Carlton defender missed an earlier training session after appearing at the court to face the careless driving charge.
He told National Nine News he would plead not guilty in the case, but would not comment further.
The 25-year-old won the Blues' best and fairest in 2004 after crossing from the Kangaroos.
But he has struggled for form recently and started the season with the Northern Bullants.
It's yet another off-field drama for Carlton.
Last month the club was rocked by revelations of a bitter family stoush between captain Lance Whitnall and his brother Shane.
Teague's case was adjourned and he will re-appear in court in July.
